Placing an Order confirms your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

Standard Hire of Skip Bins is up to 1 week on site after which time a daily hire rate will apply.

Please note that our trucks are heavy vehicles, and if our driver is directed from a public road by the hirer, Simple Skips will not be held liable for any damage caused to properties such as driveways, curbs, pavements, pipes, pits, trees, grass, and so on, that may occur in connection with our truck and skip bins. It is important to exercise caution and ensure that the designated delivery and pickup areas are suitable for our trucks to maneuver safely.

While we will try our best to accommodate your preferred location for the skip bin, the final decision on its placement rests with the driver. This is necessary to ensure the safe delivery and removal of the skip bin.

Any skip bin relocations will attract an additional fee to be advised at the time of booking such relocation.

Please be aware that any loss arising from the damage or defacement of the skip bin will be the responsibility of the hirer. Simple Skips will not engage in negotiations with third parties to recover costs associated with the damage or defacement of our skip bins. It is essential for the hirer to take necessary precautions and ensure the skip bin is handled and treated appropriately to avoid any damage or defacement.

The Following Wastes will not be placed into the skip bin:

  • Fires are strictly prohibited inside the skip bin.
  • Only dry waste should be placed into the skip bin. Wet or adhesive materials are not allowed and may incur additional cleaning fees if found in the bin.
  • The following items are not permitted in the skip bin: batteries, tires, paints, oils, foods, liquids, wet concrete, gas bottles, explosive, toxic, dangerous, hazardous, or noxious materials. This includes asbestos, for which we provide separate fully lined asbestos bins if needed.

 

Adhering to these guidelines ensures the safety of our staff, the environment, and proper waste disposal practices.

In the event that the waste in the skip bin is contaminated, the hirer will bear responsibility for any necessary separation and additional costs associated with or resulting from the contamination. It is crucial for the hirer to accurately classify the type of waste being disposed of in the skip bin. Our disposal facilities adhere to strict guidelines for handling contaminated waste. It is imperative that different waste types are not mixed together, even in the smallest quantities, as this can lead to additional costs. The specific cost for dealing with contamination or mixing of waste types will vary depending on the type of waste and the size of the bin.

Please ensure that the skip bin is not filled beyond its rim. It is important that no items protrude from the top or sides of the skip bin. All waste must be contained well within the capacity of the skip bin and should comply with the requirements outlined in the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), including associated regulations, notices, schemes, schedules, and any industry standards. Adhering to these guidelines promotes safe transportation and handling of the skip bin in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Strict weight limits apply for material placed in the skip bin.

It is essential for all parties involved in the heavy vehicle transport supply chain, including the loader of the skip bin, the driver of the truck, office consignors, and owners, to prioritize the safety of their transport activities. In the event of a breach of legislation, all parties can be held liable for any resulting loss. Simple Skips reserves the right to remove and leave behind any item that protrudes above the rim of the skip bin or any prohibited items as specified in the aforementioned regulations. Please note that Simple Skips will not be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur as a result of such removal. It is crucial for everyone involved to comply with the regulations and take necessary precautions to ensure the safe and lawful transportation of the skip bin.

In cases where the skip bin is overloaded or deemed unsafe for loading, Simple Skips retains the right to refuse its removal. A futile pick-up fee will be applied, and daily hire charges will continue until the skip bin is collected, following an assessment by Simple Skips to ensure its safe transportability. It is important to adhere to the prescribed weight and safety limits to avoid any unnecessary charges or delays in the removal process. Please ensure that the skip bin is loaded within the designated capacity and in a manner that guarantees safe transport.

The responsibility for obtaining any necessary permits or approvals for the placement of the skip bin on surrounding footpaths or roads lies with the hirer. Any fines or infringement notices related to the placement or use of the skip bin are solely the liability of the hirer. It is important to comply with local regulations and obtain the required permissions to ensure a lawful and proper placement of the skip bin.

Any fines or infringement notices related to the placement or use of the skip bin are solely the liability of the hirer. 24 Hours notice is to be given for Cancellations and changes to orders.

Please be aware that any violation or breach of these terms and conditions may lead to additional charges. It is essential to adhere to the guidelines and regulations outlined to avoid any unnecessary costs or penalties. By complying with the terms and conditions, you can ensure a smooth and efficient skip bin rental experience.

Refund & Returns Policy

To get your order to you as efficiently as possible, Simple Skips commences your order processing immediately after confirmation. Because of the immediate ordering system, the team at Simple Skips recommend that you choose carefully when purchasing our products as refunds cannot be given after an order has been placed for change of mind.

Skip Bin exchanges must be initiated within two (2) days of receipt (provided that they have not been attached). Return shipping to Simple Skips Brisbane warehouse is to be arranged and paid for by the customer.

You acknowledge that once the Skips have been delivered, you shall be deemed to have accepted the tiles. Simple Skips shall not be liable for the cost of removing Skip bins that have been delivered.

If for some reason the Skip bin your ordered is damaged, incorrect or faulty, Simple Skips will arrange return shipping and replacement of the affected Skip. Please document any damage or issues with photos, to help identify the cause so we can continue to make our service better in the future.

To be eligible for an exchange you must be a full paying customer. If you did not purchase the Skip Bin you are not eligible for an exchange. A receipt or proof of purchase is also required. All returns for exchange must be for the entire Skip Bin from the initial order.
